The terms below govern how students and owners use YOUNISTAY. They are written to be read, not buried.
Using YOUNISTAY
These terms govern your use of the YOUNISTAY platform. By searching for a room, listing a property, or managing a stay, you agree to use the platform as described here.
The platform connects students looking for housing with PG and hostel owners, and provides tools to match rooms, manage rent and deposits, triage maintenance, and forecast occupancy.
Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for the activity that happens under your account.
You agree to provide accurate information. Students should give real budget, location and preference details so matching works; owners should list rooms, rent and terms that reflect the actual property.
Matching is a recommendation
Match scores and shortlists are recommendations based on the preferences and data provided. They are intended to help you decide, not to guarantee a particular outcome.
Roommate compatibility is assessed from the information students share and is offered as guidance for a better shared living arrangement, not as a warranty.
Listings and verification
Owners are verified before their listings reach students, and are responsible for the accuracy of the rooms, rent and terms they publish.
Listings that no longer reflect the real room may be flagged and re-reviewed. Publishing misleading listings may result in removal from the platform.
Rent, deposits and payments
Where rent and deposit automation is used, reminders, collection and tracking run according to the schedule set for a property. Payments are processed through established payment providers.
Responsibility for the underlying rental arrangement, including the amount of rent and the terms of any deposit and its refund, sits between the student and the owner. The platform provides the tooling to manage and record it.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the platform - including attempting to access accounts that are not yours, scraping listings, posting false information, or using the platform to harass another user.
Access may be limited or withdrawn where these terms are broken, particularly where student safety is at risk.
Fees
Searching and matching are free for students. Owner plans are charged according to the plan chosen, on the basis described on the pricing page at the time of signup.
Availability
We work to keep the platform available and accurate, but it is provided on an as-is basis. Occupancy forecasts, in particular, are probabilistic estimates that improve with data and should not be treated as guarantees.
Changes to these terms
As the platform develops, these terms may be updated to reflect new features or requirements. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
