What is collected
For students: budget range, college, location and lifestyle preferences needed to match. For owners: property, room and lease details, plus identity information for verification.
How long it is kept
Matching and account data is retained while an account is active and for a limited period afterwards, then removed. Records tied to a completed stay are kept only as long as needed for that stay's rent and deposit history.
Who can see it
Access is scoped to purpose. An owner sees the data for their own rooms and residents, a student sees their own matches and payments. Neither sees the other's private details beyond what a match requires.
Handled through established infrastructure.
Rent and deposit payments run through established online payment providers. YOUNISTAY records what a room paid and when for the ledger, and does not store raw card numbers on its own systems.
